Short version: what you send us goes to a VRT mentor so they can answer you. It is not sold, shared or used for anything else.
What we collect
Only what you type into the Reach Out form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, whether you are a service member, veteran, family member, unit or partner, the subjects you picked, your city and state, and anything you write in the message box. The page also records the browser you used, which helps us fix display problems.
Counting visits
We count how many times each page is opened, so VRT can see whether the site is reaching anyone. No cookie is set and no advertising or analytics company is involved. To tell a returning visit from a new one we store a scrambled fingerprint of your address and browser that changes every day and cannot be turned back into either, alongside the page you opened and, if you arrived from a link, the website you came from. Your IP address itself is never written down.
Why we collect it
To route your question to the right mentor and reply to it. Your city decides which mentor is nearest and which state benefits apply; the subjects decide whose background fits.
Who sees it
VRT staff and the mentor assigned to your enquiry. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or pass it to lenders, claims agents, recruiters or advertisers. Sending the form does not add you to a mailing list.
Where it is held
In an access-controlled database operated for VRT, and in the email that notifies the team. Both sit behind passwords held only by VRT.
Removing it
Ask and we delete it. Reply to any message from us, or use the Reach Out form and say so in the message box.
What this page is not
VRT mentors are volunteers. They are not accredited claims agents, attorneys or financial advisers, and nothing here creates a professional relationship or a guaranteed outcome.
