Anthony “Tony” R. Guzman
Master Chief Hospital Corpsman, United States Navy, Retired
VRT Veteran Advocate

A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, Tony entered the U. S. Navy on September 1991 and attended Basic Training and Hospital Corpsman “A” School in San Diego, California.

During his 27 years of service, he served in progressing positions of leadership throughout the Navy Medical Community and the Fleet Marine Force. He was also responsible for training the next generation of Hospital Corpsman while serving as the Command Master Chief for the Medicine Training Support Center, Joint Base San Antonio/Fort Sam Houston until his retirement in 2018.

After his retirement, Tony continued to serve the Veteran and military community by coordinating educational seminars on how to best us the VA Home Loan Benefit and Basic Allowance for Housing to invest in themselves and build generational wealth.

Along with many unit and campaign awards, Tony was the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), the Navy Commendation Medal (3 awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (3 awards), and the Combat Action Ribbon. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Southern New Hampshire University.

He and his wife Marisa call San Antonio, Texas home and they have two children, Isaac and Easton.
